Administration Personnel

Mr. Steve Wolf, Superintendent

Mr. Wolf graduated from Commerce High School in Commerce, Texas in 1983. He earned his bachelor's degree in agriculture business from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas in 1987. He earned his Master's degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas in Agriculture Education in 1991. He taught agriculture science in Raton, New Mexico; Hagerman, New Mexico; and Electra, Texas, before moving to Byers Independent School District as a principal in 2003. He completed his principal certificate at Midwestern State University in 2001 and superintendent thereafter at Tarlaton State University in 2005. He became Superintendent of Byers Independent School District in July of 2005. He married Katie Montandon in 1987 and they  have two  daughters, Annie and Stefanie.

Mr. Burt Montgomery, Principal

Mr. Montgomery graduated from Abernathy High School in Abernathy, Texas in 1969. He earned his bachelor's degree in agriculture education at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas in 1973. He began his teaching career in Granada,  Colorado followed by Henrietta, Texas and Eastland, Texas. He was employed by Anderson Grain in Abernathy for three years. During this time he earned his Masters Degree in Educational Leadership at Texas Tech University. Prior to coming to Byers, he served as a high school and middle school Principal for New Deal ISD and Superintendent for Bryson ISD. He married Shelley Seibert in 1974 and they have three daughters, Von, Julie, and Jill.
